Kimie has played the role of Marcy Park, the quintessential over-achiever, two times in William Finn's hilarious musical comedy The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.

The first production was with Oscar Theatre Company and directed by Lewis Jones. Kimie starred alongside Liz Buchanan, Leon Cain, Danny Murphy, Penny Farrow, Dirk Hoult, Cheyenne Kavanagh, Megan Shorey and Nick Skubij.

The second production was performed in 2014, was directed by Danielle Carney with musical direction by Matthew Samer.

'It is hard to pick out favourites as the entire ensemble did an outstanding job, with fully crayon-coloured in characters ... However, the standout number was 'I Speak Six Languages' performed by tour de force Kimie Tsukakoshi as she demonstrated her character's (and by extension, her own) many different talents including reciting foreign languages, ballet, piano, and of course singing, which all built up to a grand finale gymnastic split at the end - wow.' - Bobbi-Lea Dionysius, Aussie Theatre, 2014
